Terms and Conditions

Enlighten One Travel acts only in the capacity of agent for passengers (“participants”) in all matters related to transportation and/or all other related travel services and assumes no responsibility, however caused, for injury, loss or damage to person or property in connection with any service, including but not limited to that resulting directly or indirectly from acts of God, detention, annoyance, delays, or expenses arising from strikes, thefts, pilferage, failure of any means of conveyance to arrive or depart as scheduled, discrepancies or change in transit, over which it has no control. Cost of accommodations & associated services for overnights in route, caused by weather, flight schedules, and other events beyond our control and are the responsibility of the  participants.  Enlighten One Travel, and any speaker(s), authors, lecturers, guests, hosts, etc., it represents for travel events and each of the foregoing parties’ parents, division, subsidiaries, affiliated companies, officers, directors, owners, shareholders, agents, attorneys, representatives, employees, licensees, successors and assigns (collectively the “Released Parties”) will be held harmless for injury, loss or damage to person or property in connection with any service or travel delay over which it has no control.  Participants under 21 years of age must be accompanied by a parent, guardian or chaperone who is at least 21 years old.

You understand that you are voluntarily participating in this Enlighten One Travel event and are assuming any and all the risks involved or associated with your attendance and participation while present in any area of the resort and while off-site during the course of the time period, including, without limitation, while attending any off-site AkashOhana Event activities.  The Released Parties will be indemnified and held harmless for any physical, emotional, mental or spiritual injuries incurred by participants before, during or after the trip.  This includes loss of life or any bodily harm or injury of any kind at any point in time before, during, or after the Enlighten One Travel event in which you have voluntarily participated.  You agree to take full responsibility for attending this Enlighten One Travel event with no expectations of any kind and will accept whatever program is being offered and/or services as satisfactory given your voluntary monetary contribution toward the attendance of this Enlighten One Travel event.  You further agree to hold harmless the Released Parties, of any liabilities, including, without limitation, physical or emotional injuries that you may suffer due to death or bodily harm while attending the Enlighten One Travel event.  You agree that no liability will be held by any of the Released Parties, if for any reason an author/celebrity/presenter is unable to perform for any reason.

You agree that you have read and understand the cancellation policy and will abide by all cancellation deadline dates.  You authorize Enlighten One Travel to automatically charge all deposits and final payments on their due date from the credit card on file unless you contact Enlighten One Travel prior to those deadlines with alternate payment. Any disputes arising out of any areas of this Enlighten One Travel Event will be settled by mediation services according to the laws of the State of Illinois in the County of Cook for Enlighten One Travel. You agree that you understand the fact that it is your responsibility to obtain any and all VISA’s or entry requirements from your country of origin to the various destinations of this event. You will hold the Released Parties and all other parties free of any liability due to the fact that you cannot enter a country on the itinerary that has been previously provided and published due to lack of proper entry documentation which is the sole responsibility of the participant. You understand and agree not to hold the Released Parties liable for any accident, death or health issue arising from any excursion that you buy or take part in and that you take full responsibility for your own involvement.

Additionally, as part of, and in connection with the Enlighten One Travel, you fully consent to the use of your image in photographs, films and any other recordings of Enlighten One Travel Event  participants during the event, and during Enlighten One Travel Event related workshops and activities for marketing, advertising, production, promotional and publicity purposes. The foregoing is without any requirement of compensation to you or obligation to obtain any additional approvals from you.  By participating in the Enlighten One Travel Event, you and the other Enlighten One Travel Event  participants for whom you book a reservation, irrevocably: (i) consent to be photographed, filmed and/or otherwise recorded in connection with the event; and, (ii) authorize us to include your name, picture, likeness and/or photographic, video recordings and other visual portrayals of you, as well as voice recordings in connection with the event in any videos, in photographs, DVDs or other format that we sell at retail or that we use for marketing, advertising, production, promotional and/or publicity purposes, in any and all media now known or hereafter devised, without any limitations whatsoever.

In the event that Enlighten One Travel or talent associated with this event are unable to perform due to any cause outside of their control, including but not limited to death, injury or any other force majeure event, the event will not be cancelled and all  participants will not be entitled to a refund of any event fees.  You agree to hold harmless the Released Parties for any travel expenses incurred from the cancellation of this event.  This includes all refundable or non-refundable airline travel purchases, hotel purchases, car rentals or any travel expenses purchased as part of the attendance of this event including fares that fall within Enlighten One Travel or the resort cancellation policy guidelines.  You agree to take full responsibility for your registration/booking and all deposits and fares.

NON-U.S. CITIZENS: You agree to not hold the Released Parties and/or any of their clients responsible for acquiring or obtaining information for your travels in regards to local embassies or custom regulations in the U.S.A. including your country of origin. All  participants will assume full financial responsibility for any additional costs or monetary losses due to participant’s inability to meet and determine if any additional VISA/ENTRY requirements are needed for any of the countries visited on your itinerary.

This waiver and release shall be binding upon my heirs, executors, administrators, successors and assigns.

On advancement of deposit to these agencies, the depositor agrees to be bound by all of the above stated terms & conditions.
